Salary - The base salary in the country is approximately AU$2,963 per month. As the base pay in Australia is on an hourly basis, in other words, the minimum wage is AU$19.49 per hour or AU$740.80 per week, for a workload of 38 hours per week.

The Australian Immigration Department estimates that the cost of living for a student in Australia per month is around AUD$ 1.652,50. This figure is used as the basis for the subsidy calculation that the student or a relative must provide at the time of visa registration, if the immigration officer request it.
